2019 Men’s Collegiate Club Pacific Coast Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2019 Men’s Collegiate Club Pacific Coast Division schedule.

Comprised of California Polytechnic State University “A”, California Polytechnic State University “B”, California State University-Long Beach, the University of California-Los Angeles, the University of California-Santa Barbara “A”, the University of California-Santa Barbara “B” and the University of Southern California, the Pacific Coast Division will contest its 22nd season as part of the league with Cal Poly (1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2018), California Baptist University (1999), UCLA (2005, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013), USC (2011, 2017), San Diego State University (2014) and Long Beach State (2015, 2016) previously claiming titles.

The division’s competitive format includes two regional weekends and a championship where all teams attend. Each team plays every opponent once and two additional regular season games are selected randomly (with the exception that A and B teams from the same institution only play once).

Competition begins with 15 games on Saturday-Sunday, October 5-6, at UC-Santa Barbara’s Campus Pool in Santa Barbara, Calif., prior to the regular season concluding on Saturday-Sunday, October 12-13, with 14 games at Cal Poly’s Anderson Pool in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

The Pacific Coast Division Championship will be decided with 11 games at USC’s Uytengsu Aquatics Center in Los Angeles, Calif., on Saturday-Sunday, October 26-27.

The victor of the division championship earns an automatic berth to the 2019 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship slated to be hosted by the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Friday-Sunday, November 15-17.
