2019 Men’s Collegiate Club Southeast Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2019 Men’s Collegiate Club Southeast Division schedule.

Comprised of Auburn University, Clemson University, the Georgia Institute of Technology, the University of Alabama, the University of Georgia, the University of Mississippi, the University of Tennessee, Vanderbilt University and newcomers Kennesaw State University and Georgia Southern University, the division will contest its 20th season as part of the CWPA with the University of Florida (2000, 2001), Georgia Tech (2002, 2003, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011), Florida International University (2004, 2005, 2006), Georgia (2010, 2013, 2015), Vanderbilt (2012, 2014), Clemson (2016) and Alabama (2017, 2018) previously claiming titles.

The division’s competitive format is comprised of two regular season tournaments and the championship weekend. As the division is comprised of 10 teams, all games were drawn at random to determine every team’s eight regular season opponents. The seeding for the championship is determined by the regular season record.

Competition commences on Saturday-Sunday, September 21-22, at Tennessee’s Student Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn., as the teams contest a 20-game docket.  The regular season comes to a close on Saturday-Sunday, October 5-6, as Vanderbilt in conjunction with the Huntsville Water Polo Association and the Huntsville Sports Commission hosts 20-games at the Huntsville Aquatics Center in Huntsville, Ala.

The division championship will be decided on Saturday-Sunday, November 2-3, at Georgia Southern’s Rec Activity Center in Statesboro, Ga., with a 15-game tournament.

The victor of the division championship earns an automatic berth to the 2019 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship slated to be hosted by the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Friday-Sunday, November 15-17.
