2019 Men’s Collegiate Club Texas Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2019 Men’s Collegiate Club Texas Division schedule.

Comprised of Baylor University, Louisiana State University, Rice University, Texas A&M University “A”, Texas A&M University “B”, Texas State University, Texas Tech University, the University of Houston, the University of Texas “A” and the University of Texas “B”, the division will contest its 18th season as part of the CWPA with Texas A&M (2001, 2002, 2007, 2008, 2016), Texas (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018) and Texas Tech (2011) combining to capture all the previous titles.

The division’s competitive format is comprised of East and West regional tournaments, a crossover tournament and the championship weekend. Every team attends the championship, the crossover and one of the regional tournaments.

Competition begins on Saturday-Sunday, September 28-29, at Texas A&M’s Student Rec Center’s pair of pools in College Station, Texas, with the host Aggies “A” and “B” teams welcoming the rest of the division for 20 games.

Rice will host Houston, Louisiana State, Texas “A” and Texas “B” for a 10-game event on Saturday-Sunday, October 5-6, at the Gibbs Rec & Wellness Center in Houston, Texas. 

The regular season concludes on Saturday-Sunday, October 12-13, at Texas Tech’s Ewalt Student Rec Center in Lubbock, Texas, as the Red Raiders square-off with Baylor, Texas A&M “A”, Texas A&M “B” and Texas State in the final 10-games to lock-up the seeds for the 15-game Texas Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, October 19-20, at Rice.

The victor of the division championship earns an automatic berth to the 2019 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship slated to be hosted by the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Friday-Sunday, November 15-17.
