2022 Women’s Collegiate Club Southeast Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2022 Women’s Collegiate Club Southeast Division schedule.

Featuring Emory University, Florida Atlantic University, Florida State University, the University of Alabama, the University of Central Florida, the University of Florida “A”, the University of Florida “B” and the University of North Florida, the eight-team division will contest regular season competition on February 26-27 at Central Florida in Orlando, Fla., and April 9-10 at Florida in Gainesville, Fla.

The pair of tournaments establish the seeds for the Southeast Division Championship on April 23-24 at Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla.  The victor of the tournament advances to the 2022 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship at a site to be determined.  In addition, the runner-up from the Southeast Division will also earn a spot in the National Collegiate Club Championship to complete the 16-team field due to Florida claiming the 2019 championship.  Due to the New York Division not competing in 2022, a spot is open in the 16-team field which is allocated to the highest finishing division besides the championship host division.

In the history of the division, Florida (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019) and Central Florida (2009, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2017) have combined for all 19 prior Southeast Division Championships.

A Southeast Division champion was not crowned during either the 2020 or 2021 seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic terminating completion and start of the campaigns, respectively.
