BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2024 Week 16/May 8 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 and Division III Top 10 Polls.

Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Champion the University of California-Los Angeles and Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC)/USA Water Polo Division III Collegiate Champion Pomona-Pitzer Colleges continue at No. 1 in the National Top 25 and Division III Top 10 polls, respectively.

Voted on by a panel of coaches from the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA), the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), the Golden Coast Conference, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Big West Conference, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and the CWPA based on the cumulative results of the season, the polls are compiled and released on Wednesdays during the season.

2024 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 (Week 16/May 8)

Due to a limited competition, Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Champion the University of California-Los Angeles leads a 2024 Week 16/May 8 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 Poll which experiences no changes.

UCLA (100 points), Big West Conference Champion the University of Hawaii (96 points), the University of California (92 points),Stanford University (88 points), the University of Southern California (84 points), Golden Coast Conference Champion Fresno State University (78 points), Long Beach State University (75 points), the University of California-Irvine (70 points), Loyola Marymount University (68 points), Arizona State University (61 points) and Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Champion Princeton University (61 points) remain in the Top 10.

Indiana University (54 points), the University of California-San Diego (50 points), the University of Michigan (48 points), the University of California-Davis (41 points), California State University-Northridge (36 points), Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Champion Wagner College (35 points), the University of California-Santa Barbara (31 points), San Jose State University (27 points) and Brown University (23 points) comprise No. 11-to-20.

San Diego State University (22 points), Harvard University (18 points), University of the Pacific (20 points), Long Island University (7 points) and Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Champion Biola University (7 points) complete the Top 25.

2024 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 (Week 16/May 8/Final)

Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) and USA Water Polo Division III Collegiate Champion Pomona-Pitzer Colleges completes the 2024 season at No. 1 in the 2024 Week 16/May 8/Final Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll.

Pomona-Pitzer (100 points) and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (95 points) remain at No. 1 and 2, while Chapman University (87 points) and California Lutheran University (87 points) tie at No. 3.

The University of La Verne (78 points) moves one point in front of Augustana College (77 points) to take over at No. 5.

Augustana, Austin College (65 points) and Macalester College (64 points) rate at No. 6-to-8.

Whittier College (52 points) reacquires sole possession of the No. 9 spot after tying with Washington & Jefferson College (49 points) for the position last week as the Poets and Presidents complete the year a No. 9 and 10.
