BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2026 Women’s Collegiate Club Top 20 and Division III Top 10 Week 5/March 5 Polls.
2026 Women’s Collegiate Club Top 20 (Week 5)
Defending National Champion the University of California-Santa Barbara remains at No. 1 in the Week 5/March 5 Women’s Collegiate Club Top 20 rankings.
UC-Santa Barbara (94 points) has a precarious grip on the lead position as both the University of Michigan (92 points) and the University of California-San Diego (92 points) stand within two points of surpassing and/or tying the Gauchos. California Polytechnic State University (87 points) stays at No. 4 with the University of Florida (69 points), the United States Naval Academy (66 points) and the University of Colorado (65 points) moving up to No. 5-to-7.
The University of California-Los Angeles (63 points) slips back to No. 8, while the University of California (59 points) and the University of Texas (57 points) exchange the No. 9 and 10 spots.
Northeastern University (48 points) continues at No. 11 with Arizona State University (41 points) and Grand Valley State University (36 points) rising to No. 12 and 13.
San Diego State University (29 points), Texas A&M University (27 points) and Pennsylvania State University (26 points) adjust to rate at No. 14-to-16, while The Ohio State University (23 points) and the University of Washington (17 points) crack the Top 20 at No. 17 and 18.
California State University-Chico (16 points) drops back to No. 19 with the duo of the University of Vermont (14 points) and Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (14 points) tying at No. 20.

2026 Women’s Collegiate Club Division III Top 10 (Week 5)
The University of California-Santa Cruz returns to ranking as a unanimous No. 1 selection in the Week 5/March 5 Women’s Collegiate Club Division III Top 10 Poll.
The Banana Slugs (100 points) – who garnered 96 (February 26), 100 (February 19) and 97 (February 12) points the prior three weeks after rating as a unanimous top pick in the Week 1 voting – leads a Top 10 which experiences radical shifts.
New York University (92 points) gains company at No. 2 from previously No. 9 Emory University (92 points) with Carnegie Mellon University (82 points) and Washington University in St. Louis (82 points) rising and falling into another tie at No. 4.
Bowdoin College (77 points), the United States Coast Guard Academy (70 points), Middlebury College (65 points), Tufts University (60 points) and Colby College (55 points) complete the Top 10.
