BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2026 Week 5//October 8 Men’s Collegiate Club Top 20 and Division III Top 10 Polls.

Released each week during the season, the Top 20 and Division III Top 10 polls have no bearing on qualifiers for the National Collegiate Club Championship.

2026 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 (Week 5)

The University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) and San Diego State University rise into a tie at No. 1 as the Bruins and Aztecs lead the 2026 Week 5/October 8 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 Poll.

UCLA (96 points) and San Diego State (96 points) top a National Top 20 which experiences significant shifts with four teams breaking into the Top 10 – including Long Beach State University (84 points) and the University of Texas (82 points) which enter the rankings at No 3 and 4, respectively.

The University of California-San Diego (78 points), the University of California (74 points), California Polytechnic State University (69 points) and California State University-Chico (56 points) slip back to No. 5-to-8, respectively, prior to the University of Colorado (54 points) and Texas A&M University (54 points) entering a tie at No. 9.

The University of Pittsburgh (51 points), Florida State University (42 points) and Florida International University (37 points) come in at No. 11-to-13 prior to Michigan State University (36 points) and Yale University (36 points) tying at No. 14.

No. 16 Cornell University (29 points) is the lone team in the Week 5 Top to retain its previous ranking.

The University of Vermont (13 points), the University of Alabama (12 points), the University of Virginia (11 points) and Ohio State University (10 points) round out the ranked 20 teams.

2026 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 (Week 5)

Augustana College moves into a tie with the University of California-Santa Cruz to share the top spot in the 2026 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 Week 5/October 8 Poll.

The Vikings (97 points) – who ranked No. 2 last week – pull even with the Banana Slugs (97 points) to lead a Top 10 poll which experiences multiple changes.

The United States Coast Guard Academy (91 points) stays at No. 3, while Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) (80 points) acquires company at No. 4 from New York University (80 points).

Bowdoin College (75 points) moves up to No. 6 with Washington University in St. Louis (62 points) and Carleton College (62 points) rising to tie at No. 7.  

Macalester College (44 points) and Wesleyan University (39 points) conclude the Top 10.
