2024 Men’s Collegiate Club Texas Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases a change to the 2024 Men’s Collegiate Club Texas Division schedule.

Comprised of Baylor University, Louisiana State University, Rice University, Southern Methodist University, Texas A&M University “A”, Texas A&M University “B”, Texas State University, Texas Tech University, the University of Houston, the University of North Texas, the University of Texas “A” and the University of Texas “B”, the division will compete in its 22nd season as part of the CWPA with Baylor (2023), Texas A&M (2001, 2002, 2007, 2008, 2016), Texas (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022) and Texas Tech (2011) combining to capture all the previous titles. The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Regular season competition begins in Houston, Texas, at Rice on Saturday-Sunday, September 28-29, with 23 games. Games during the weekend will use five-minute quarters with neither timeouts nor overtime.

Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas, is the site of a 12-game event on Saturday-Sunday, October 5-6, with Baylor, North Texas, Southern Methodist, Texas “A” and Texas “B”.

The regular season comes to a conclusion on Saturday-Sunday, October 12-13, as Texas A&M “A” and “B” in College Station, Texas, welcome Louisiana State, Houston, Rice and Texas State for another 13-game weekend.  The change in the schedule occurs as the Houston-vs.-Rice game will be played at 2:50 p.m. on October 13.

The Texas Division Championship is slated for Rice on Saturday-Sunday, November 2-3, as the 18-game event determines final placements in the group and the division’s representative for the 2024 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship on Friday-Sunday, November 8-10, at a site to be determined.

Games during the Texas Division Championship will use six-minute quarters with sudden death overtime and teams limited to one timeout per half.
