ANN ARBOR, Mich — The Lakers of Mercyhurst University capped off the 2025 Wolverine Invitational hosted by No. 15-ranked the University of Michigan at Canham Natatorium by suffering a 14-5 setback against Division III No. 1 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges.
The Sagehens jumped out to a quick 5-2 lead and never looked back in acquiring the victory. Grace Tirak and Krista Domaracki scored the two goals of first quarter for Mercyhurst.
Pomona-Pitzer recorded three more goals before Olivia George and Domaracki made it an 8-4 game. Marley Hanlon scored her first goal of the weekend before Pomona-Pitzer ran away with things to secure a a nine-goal win.
