BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Princeton University alumni Haley Wan ’18 and JP Ohl ’26 along with Iona University alumnus/assistant coach Patrick Judge ’17 and Bucknell University alumnus/Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Hall of Fame inductee Scott Schulte ’81 helped the United States to First and Fifth Place finishes in women’s and men’s competition, respectively, at the 2026 World Aquatics Water Polo 4×4 Open Championships in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on August 31-to-September 6
On the women’s side, Wan and Judge – who served as an assistant coach for the team – helped the United States roll through the bracket with victories over Spain (3-0 W), Turkey (3-0 W), Greece (3-0 W), the Republic of South Africa (3-0 W; 3-0 W), Australia (3-0 W) and finally Spain (3-0 W).
Wan accounted for two goals during the championship run as she scored in both games versus South Africa.
Ohi and Schulte – who served as an assistant coach for the United States men’s team – assisted the Americans to finish in Fifth Place as the squad faced Russia (3-2 L – 3-2 in penalty shots), Lithuania (3-0 W), Croatia (3-1 L; 3-2 L, 3-1 in penalty shots), Australia (3-0 W), Montenegro (3-1 W) and Georgia (3-2 W).
Ohl scored solo markers in Team USA’s games versus Croatia, Australia, Montenegro and Georgia to accompany a pair of strikes against Lithuania to wrap-up the tournament with seven tallies. His best game came in the Fifth Place contest against Georgia as he converted on one-of-three shots, snagged a pair of steals and claimed a sprint victory.
