BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) turns the clock back to April 3, 2010, for a clash between the host Wolverines of the University of Michigan and the visiting Hoosiers of Indiana University at Canham Natatorium for the latest “Flashback Friday”.
In a game broadcast by the Big Ten Network, then No. 8-ranked Michigan stopped then No. 15 Indiana, 6-4, to claim its third straight CWPA Western Division regular-season crown in front of the largest crowd ever inside Canham Natatorium to that point.
Senior Leah Robertson set a Canham Natatorium record with eight steals for the Wolverines. Junior Lauren Orth scored twice on five-meter penalty shots in the fourth to collect her second game-winning goal in as many games against IU.
Freshman Alex Adamson made seven saves, including three while shorthanded, to claim the win for the Maize & Blue.
