LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Fordham University water polo squad closed out the Bucknell University Invitational with Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC)-East Region wins over Wagner College, 13-9, and La Salle University, 15-9.

With the wins, the Rams improve to 9-2 overall on the year, 3-0 in the MAWPC-East.

Fordham was led by senior Jake Miller-Tolt, who netted ten goals to go with seven assists in the two games, while sophomore Dimitris Koukias chipped in with seven goals and one assist.

In the Wagner game, the Rams trailed after one quarter, 3-2, but managed to tie the game at the half at six. Fordham outscored Wagner 4-1 in the third quarter to take a 10-7 lead and added tallies by Sam Wheeler, George Maltby and senior Joseph Agabs in the final eight minutes for the 13-9 win.

Koukias led Fordham in the Wagner game, scoring four times and drawing four ejections, while Miller-Tolt finished with three goals and four assists.

Sophomore Bailey O’Mara made 13 saves in the Fordham net while also recording two assists and one steal.

In the La Salle win, Fordham jumped out to a 4-1 lead and then used an eight-goal second to take a commanding 12-2 lead at the half. The Explorers cut the Fordham lead to six after three, 12-6, but the Rams scored three times in the final quarter to secure the victory.

Miller-Tolt tallied seven goals while Koukias and senior Tristen Knoflick each added two for Fordham.

O’Mara recorded ten saves and two steals over the first two-plus quarters for the Rams.
