BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — George Washington University posted the institution’s list of men’s water polo recruits for the upcoming 2025 season.
Leading the list is Vasilije Marinkovic (Gr., Kotor, Montenegro/University of Donja Gorica/Mount St. Mary’s University) who joins the Colonials after completing a graduate year/degree at fellow Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) institution Mount St. Mary’s University. He established a Mount St. Mary’s record wit 25 saves in a 14-13 overtime loss to Long Island University on September 14 and concluded his lone season in Emmitsburg, Md., with 210 saves, 34 steals and eight assists in 17 games.
He is joined among the newcomers to the GW roster by a septet of field players as Ben McDade (Fr., Philadelphia, Pa./The Haverford School), Gabriele Molfino (Fr., Genoa, Italy/Liceti), Austin Robert Nelson (Fr., Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich Country Day School), Anthony Ferneini (Fr, Hamden, Conn./Hamden Hall Country Day School), Evangelos Agapiou (Fr., Dionysos, Greece/Arsakeio Tositseio High School of Ekalis), David Sambolin Estrada (Fr., Dorado, Puerto Rico/TASIS Dorado) and Andrea Forno (Fr., Rome Italy/I.I.S. Papareschi) are anticipated to compete for the Colonials in 2025.
