BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Ivy League produced coverage of Harvard University’s Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) home game against fellow Ivy League institution Princeton University at Blodgett Pool on Saturday, October 28, will be broadcast to an international audience on ESPN3. Game time is set for 8:00 p.m.
A clash of the 2016 NWPC Champion (Harvard) versus the 2015 CWPA Champion (Princeton), the game will mark the second meeting of the season for the Crimson and Tigers as Princeton is slated to host Harvard on Saturday, September 30.
Last season, the two teams slugged it out over the span of three games as Harvard claimed an 8-7 victory in the Garden State on October 2 prior to Princeton posting an 11-10 win in Cambridge. Harvard, which went on to finish in a tie for Third Place at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship, claimed the season series by edging out a 14-13 victory on November 19 in the semifinals of the NWPC Championship hosted by Princeton.
The game marks one of two NWPC games slated for broadcast on ESPN3 as Harvard’s meeting with Brown University on Saturday, October 7, at 10:00 a.m. in Cambridge, Mass. is also among the docket of 25 Ivy League Network (ILN) productions set for coverage on the network.
All events appearing on ESPN3 will also be simulcast on the ILN. In its fifth year as the primary home for Ivy League athletics, ILN features over 1,100 live events each academic year.
