BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Harvard University men’s water polo athlete Vilas Sogaard-Srikrishnan (Sr., Greenwich, Conn./Brunswick School) ran the 130th Boston Marathon on Monday, April 20, with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in support of former Crimson athlete Andy Freed, a mentor, the Chair of the Friends of Harvard Water Polo and a patient fighting pancreatic cancer.

Sogaard-Srikrishnan crossed the finish line in a net time of 3.34.43 (3:45.26 gun) with a pace of 8:12 per mile over the 26.2 miles course to place 4,371 in his age group (18-39 men).

To date, he raised $32,859.24 against an original $20k fundraising goal to support Dana-Farber’s life-saving mission through the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research.
