BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Incoming Harvard University women’s water polo athlete Synnove Robinson was among 12 individuals recognized by the Hawaii High School Athletic Association (HHSA) wtth induction to the organization’s 2026 Hall of Honor.
A native of Honolulu, Robinson – who scored 77 goals as a senior to conclude her prep career with 285 strikes – helped the Punahou School achieve a No. 1 water polo ranking in the nation this year according to MaxPreps
The seven girls and five boys, many of whom excelled in more than one sport, all plan to pursue athletics at the next level after they graduate this spring.
They are:
- Alika Ahu, University Lab/Pac-Five (baseball, basketball), committed to Stanford University baseball
- Hunter Berger, Saint Louis (wrestling), committed to Duke University men’s wrestling
- Nihoa Dunn, Kamehameha (basketball), committed to Portland State University women’s basketball
- Ashlyn Jacobsen, Campbell (cross country, track), committed to the University of San Francisco women’s cross country and track
- Kekama Kane, Iolani (football, soccer), committed to University of Hawaii football
- Layden Kauka, Kohala (basketball, volleyball), committed to University of Hawaii Hilo men’s basketball
- Destiny Look, Mid-Pacific (soccer, track, volleyball), committed to Southern Methodist Universty women’s track and field
- James Millare, Moanalua (track), committed to George Mason University men’s track and field
- Chloe Obuhanych, Pearl City (air riflery, judo, wrestling), committed to Western New England University women’s wrestling
- Synnove Robinson, Punahou (cross country, swimming, water polo), committed to Harvard University women’s water polo
- Zaira Sugui, Moanalua (flag football, judo, wrestling), committed to Menlo College women’s wrestling
- Journei Webster, Punahou (swimming), committed to Rutgers University women’s swimming
The HHSAA has inducted Hall of Honor classes annually since 1983.
A 13-member committee, comprised of current and former sports reporters and athletic directors from across Hawaii Island to Kauai, chose the student-athletes.They were formally inducted at the HHSAA’s Hall of Honor banquet on May 31 at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani’s Ainahau Showroom.
Each athlete received a $2,000 scholarship from the HHSAA and Enterprise Holdings.
