2022 Iona University Men’s Water Polo Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Iona University released the institution’s 2022 men’s water polo schedule.
Action begins on Saturday-Sunday, September 3-4, at the United States Naval Academy’s Navy Open in Annapolis, Md., as the Gaels are slated for contests versus Mount St. Mary’s University, the University of California, Bucknell University and California Lutheran University.
A week later, Iona hits the road to Princeton, N.J., for the Princeton Invitational on Saturday-Sunday, September 10-11, with games against Wagner College, Navy, Santa Clara University and George Washington University on tap.
A trip to the Air Force Tournament at the United States Air Force Academy near Colorado Springs, Colo., on Saturday-Sunday, September 17-18, concludes Iona’s season-opening road swing.
The Gaels return home to New Rochelle, N.Y., for Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) home games versus Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on Saturday, October 1, along with Brown University and Connecticut College on Sunday, October 2. A week later, Iona welcomes Princeton to the Hynes Center Pool on Saturday, October 8.
Back-to-back midweek games versus St. Francis College Brooklyn in Brooklyn (Wednesday, October 12) and New Rochelle (Wednesday, October 26) dot the schedule prior to Iona hitting the road to Princeton (Saturday, October 29), MIT (Saturday, November 5), Harvard (Saturday, November 5), Brown (Sunday, November 6) and Connecticut (Sunday, November 6).
The NWPC Championship is set for Friday-Sunday, November 18-20, at Brown in Providence, R.I.
