BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA)/Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC)/Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Commissioner Dan Sharadin announced the appointment of Justin Dorazio as the league’s inaugural Director of Creative Services.
The Director of Creative Services and Director of Broadcast Services positions were created from the previously standing Director of Multimedia role which oversaw the league’s streaming, live-championship event production, educational content and video services for sponsors and the leagues’ membership.
A 2023 graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications with a certificate in Sports Journalism and a Dante Level 2 certification, Dorazio is responsible for assisting with the leagues’ remote broadcasts, creating sponsor advertisements and producing general entertainment content included in the game streams. During the championships, he will share the duties of overseeing the broadcasts with the Director of Broadcast Services including directing production, creating/integrating graphics and producing commercial content.
A key task of the position is the production of innovative membership content on both the league website and social media channels (Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram)) including the league’s Tip of the Week series, coaches instructional webinars, referee virtual training sessions, public service announcement and commercials for league sponsors.
He will coordinate and manage the league’s entertainment content including the continuation and expansion of the leagues’ “Where Are They Now”, PoloCast, Inside Water Moments and Senior Spotlight series.
Due to the expansion of the league’s Multimedia Department with the creation of the Director of Creative Services position, the league aims to aid additional content with the launch of weekly recap and preview shows to go along with expanded coverage of the Game of the Week , Player of the Week and National Varsity and Collegiate Club Poll announcements.
Dorazio joins the CWPA/MAWPC/NWPC following a three-year tenure as a Multimedia On-Air Producer at SportsRadio 94.1 WIP in Philadelphia. At WIP, he was responsible to direct and execute the daily live stream for the high-profile WIP Midday Show by overseeing multi-camera switching and live technical direction. In addition, he identified, cut and edited high-yield video clips from live broadcasts to transform long-form sports-talk segments into optimized content for YouTube, TikTok, X and Instagram.
During his time with the preeminent sports talk station in the Mid-Atlantic region, he engineered over 100 live-remote radio broadcasts and served as lead producer for live Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Football League (NFL) broadcasts of Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles games, respectively, to a network over 20+ affiliate stations.
Away from the studio, the Northeast Philadelphia native has served as an on-site reporter and interviewer for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) events since 2024. As part of the position, he conducted high-profile live interviews with elite WWE talent for broadcast and digital distribution. He delivered real-time event coverage and multimedia updates on-site at major premium live events, including WWE SummerSlam, and was responsible in generating over 11 million social media interactions during a two-week window for the promotion.
Dorazio began his professional career with Major League Baseball (MLB) and the National Hockey League (NHL) as a Live Broadcast Logger for the MLB Network during the period of 2022-to-2024. In his prior position, Dorazio logged live MLB and NHL games to generate time-sensitive metadata to support instant highlight reels, media guides and network archival content. He executed live-commercial integration into MLB.TV broadcast feeds and tracked pitch-clock and Automated Ball-Strike (ABS) data for Minor League Baseball (MiLB) games to provide data-metrics used by leadership to evaluate the evolution of the sport and product on and off the diamond.
