BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Mercyhurst University released the institution’s 2026 women’s water polo schedule.
The Lakers will open the season on Saturday-Sunday, February 14-15, at the University of Michigan’s Midwest Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich., with games versus Indiana University (February 14, 9:00 a.m.), Mount St. Mary’s University (February 14, 3:00 p.m.), the host Wolverines (February 15, 8:00 a.m.) and the University of California-Davis (February 15, 2:30 p.m.).
A week later, Mercyhurst takes part in a Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) weekend at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa., where the Lakers meet Princeton University (February 21, 11:30 a.m.), Saint Francis University (February 21, 6:00 p.m.) and Harvard University (February 22, Noon) on Saturday-Sunday, February 21-22.
The team will play a home weekend on Saturday-Sunday, February 28-March 1, as the squad hosts the Robinette Memorial Invitational with games versus Wheaton College (Mass.) (February 28, 1:30 p.m.), Grove City College (February 28, 7:30 p.m.), Washington & Jefferson College (March 1, 9:30 a.m.) and La Salle University (March 1, 12:30 p.m.) slated to occur at the Hagerty Event Center-Hallman Aquatics Center in Erie, Pa.
Following another weekend in Erie, Pa., on Saturday-Sunday, March 14-15, at the Gannon University Invitational, the Lakers conclude their regular season docket with neutral site league games versus Brown University (10:30 a.m.) and Bucknell (5:30 p.m.) on Saturday, March 21, at Princeton in Princeton, N.J.
The CWPA Championship will take place on Friday-Sunday, April 10-12, at Michigan with the victor claiming the league’s automatic berth to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.
