BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Mercyhurst University released an updated schedule for the 206 Robinette Memorial Invitational at the Hagerty Event Center – Hallman Aquatics Center in Erie, Pa., on Saturday-Sunday, February 28-March 1.
The schedule of games is adjusted and expands from 12 to 13 contests.
On February 28, Grove City College faces Saint Francis University at 9:00 a.m. Eastern prior to Gannon University-vs.-La Salle University (10:30 a.m.), Washington & Jefferson College-vs.-Penn State Behrend (Noon), Mercyhurst-vs.-Wheaton College (Mass.) (1:30 p.m.), Saint Francis-vs.-Gannon (3:00 p.m.), La Salle-vs.-Washington & Jefferson (4:30 p.m.), Penn State Behrend-vs.-Wheaton (6:00 p.m.) and Mercyhurst-vs.-Grove City (7:30 p.m.) concluding the day.
On March 1, Wheaton-vs.-La Salle (8:00 a.m.), Mercyhurst-vs.-Washington & Jefferson (9:30 a.m.), Wheaton-vs.-Gannon (11:00 a.m.), Mercyhurst-vs.-La Salle (12:30 p.m.) and Gannon-vs.-Penn State Behrend (2:00 p.m.) are currently scheduled.
The Robinette Memorial Tournament is named for Curtis Robinette who served as the second head coach in Mercyhurst water polo history until his passing in 2021 following a battle with cancer. Known for his passion, dedication and commitment to his players, he inspired countless young athletes to reach for their full potential both on and off the pool deck.
