INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) National Coordinator of Officials Amber Drury released updated schedule and guest speakers for the 2020 NCAA Referee School scheduled for Saturday, December 5.
Previously, Drury announced that former NCAA coach and athlete/American River College head coach Heather Moody and former NCAA coach and athlete, coach of multiple Olympic medal winning teams as well as the current USA Women’s Olympic Team Adam Krikorian will speak during the Coach/Referee Relationship & Interaction portion of the presentation. Last week, Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Supervisor of Officials/former NCAA coach/former NCAA Championship referee Mitch Carty and Golden Coast Conference Supervisor of Officials/former NCAA Championship official/former USA Water Polo Director of Officials Jim Cullingham were added to the list.
This week, former NCAA All-America selection, collegiate coach and current emergency room physician Dr. Omar Amr along with former NCAA Championship and Olympic official Tom Hermstad round out the program’s final guest speakers.
Dr. Amr will discuss “best practices” when returning the pool deck due to the COVID-19 outbreak, while Hermstad will discuss his officiating career during the History and Legacy section of the agenda.
