BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) informed its member conferences regarding a change to the dates for the 2026-to-2030 Women’s National Collegiate Championships.

The NCAA Sports Oversight Committee (SOC) during its April meeting formally approved a championship date change beginning for the 2026 championship. The official championship date formula will now be the last full weekend in April.

The SOC approved the recommendation to change the championship date formula from the second weekend in May to the last full weekend in April (Friday-Sunday) in response to the adoption of Proposal No. 202463. The new date formula supports the legislative change as well as matching the length of the men’s season and provides competitive equity among teams for training purposes.

The updated dates are:

  • 2026 – April 18 or 22 (Opening Round) / April 24-26 (Finals) – at University of California-San Diego (La Jolla, Calif.)
  • 2027 – April 17 or 21 (Opening Round) / April 23-25 (Finals) – at Stanford University (Stanford, Calif.)
  • 2028 – April 22 or 26 (Opening Round) / April 28-30 (Finals) – at Greensboro Aquatic Center (Greensboro, N.C.)
  • 2029 – April 21 or 25 (Opening Round) / April 27-29 (Finals) – at TBA
  • 2030 – April 20 or 24 (Opening Round) / April 26-28 (Finals) – at TBA
