PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — The No. 14-ranked Princeton University Tigers steamrolled the LaSalle University Explorers, 20-5, on the road at Kirk Pool.
It’s just the 10th time in program history that the team has scored at least 20 goals in a game. 10 different players registered a goal in the contest with Nicole Kresich‘s five tallies leading the way.
After LaSalle scored the first goal of the game, Princeton rattled off five straight to take a 5-1 lead after the first quarter. The Explorers got as close as three (7-4) before the Tigers had the last two tallies of the first half, taking a 9-4 advantage at the break.
The Tigers put the game away with a shutout in the third stanza, scoring seven times. Princeton led 16-4 after 24 minutes and cruised to its fifth straight victory.
