BROOKLYN, N.Y. — No. 15-ranked Princeton University used a 5-0 first half scoring spree to rally and take down host Long Island University, 13-9, at the Steinberg Wellness Center.

After the Tigers registered the first goal of the game, LIU ripped off three straight tallies to go up by a pair

Charlotte Riches and Didi Evans responded to tie the contest at three-all after eight minutes. The road squad opened with three goals to start the second quarter and eventually took a 6-4 advantage into halftime.

Head coach Derek Ellingsons group began the second half with three of the first four tallies and finished off the third stanza with a three score string to put the game away.

Olivia Krotts and Vivian Golub led the Tigers with four goals each, while Kendall Wyer and Ava Houlahan notched pairs.  Ally Lurie slipped in a solo tally to support a 10 save performance by goalkeeper Lindsey Lucas. Evans tied the program record with seven assists to match the mark set by Carolina Ardilla in March of 2006 and Helen Meigs in April of 2009.

Wyer and Shanna Davidson chipped in pairs of assists with Lurie dishing out a solo helper.
