CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — No. 18-ranked Harvard University won in a powerful team effort by downing Mercyhurst University, 22-2, at home in Blodgett Pool. The Crimson improved its record to 6-2 overall and 4-1 at home this season.
Harvard got off to a quick 7-2 lead to start the game and went on a 5-0 run. Sophomore James Rozolis-Hill had an electric takeaway and goal at the end of the first half, as Harvard led 12-2 at the half.
The Crimson kept the goals coming, scoring three quick goals to open the second half. Junior Alex James scored on a saucy backhand shot in the third quarter, and Senior Colin Le added a laser goal in the fourth.
14 different Crimson players had goals in the contest, including Rozolis-Hill, James and Owen Hale as the trio posted hat-tricks.
Cam Doughtery dished out five assists, while Le added two goals and one assist for the Crimson.
In goal for Harvard, Tanner Furtak and Oliver Price made three saves a piece.
