PROVIDENCE, R.I. — No. 20-ranked Brown University women’s water polo finished off the Harvard Invitational with a 17-6 win over Long Island University at home in the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatic Center.
The team started off the game strong with the first goal netted by Cleo Washer 55 seconds into the game.
The Bears took a strong lead in the first half with an 8-2 lead going into the half against the Sharks. Alexandra Love led the team with four goals, with Washer following with three goals.
Megan Newby, Aubrie Anderson and Ella Palmer all scored two goals, keeping the Bears ahead until the end.
Ava Schoening stepped up to play goalie starting in the second quarter and finished with five saves.
