PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The No. 22-ranked Brown University women’s water polo team opened its season with a 11-8 home victory versus Iona University. The win marks the first win at Brown for head coach Jackie Puccino.

Alexandra Love started the Bears off strong with the first goal of the game, as well as adding two more goals, tying the most goals of the match with Samantha Kim as both finished with hat-tricks. Aubrie Anderson added a pair, while Anderson and Cleo Washer each had three assists.

In goal, Somto Okafo saved eight Gaels’ shots in the first half, with Sarah Decker adding another save in the second half.
