LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The No. 4-ranked Princeton University men’s water polo team took down No. 14 California Baptist University for the second time this season as the Tigers doubled-up the Lancers, 16-8, at the University of California-Los Angeles’ Spieker Aquatics Center on the first day of the 2023 Overnght/Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Invitational.

Tied at two-all, the the Tigers tallied two goals before holding a 4-3 advantage after eight minutes of action. After the two teams exchanged strikes, Princeton racked up four of the next five goals and stretched its advantage to four, 9-5, entering halftime.

Cal Baptist got as close as three in the third stanza, but Princeton scored three straight to expand its lead to 13-7 and never looked back.

Roko Pozaric tied his career high with six goals, while Kristóf Kovács made 10 saves in the win.

George Caras, Gavin Molloy and Finn LeSieur each accounted for pairs of scores with Mason Killion, Tigran Sennett, JP Ohl and Yurian Quinones tacking on solo markers.
