BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) turns back the hands of time to November 18-20 and the 2016 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Championship at Princeton University’s DeNunzio Natatorium in commemoration of the approaching start of the 2017 season during the weekend of September 2-3.
The inaugural Northeast Water Polo Conference Championship tournament following the division of the CWPA into the NWPC and Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) prior to the 2016 season, the event featured Brown University, Harvard University, Iona College, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, St. Francis College Brooklyn and the host Tigers battling for the league crown and an automatic berth into the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship field.
