WASHINGTON, Pa. — The Penn State Behrend women’s water polo team dropped games to McKendree University, 28-2, and host Washington & Jefferson College, 10-7, on the first day of the W&J Invitational.

Against McKendree, junior Angela Laier (Lansing, Mich./Holt) scored both goals for the Lions, while Chloe Dodgen (Riverside, Calif./Hillcrest) made five saves in taking the loss.

Dodgen also contributed four steals and one drawn ejection.  Freshman Shannon Young (Roseville, Calif./Roseville) and Selena Hughes (Carlsbad, Calif./San Marcos) each tallied an assist.

In the nightcap versus W&J, freshman Emily McNaughton (Wexford, Pa./Pine-Richland) led the Lions with three goals.

Carson Hagood (Orlando, Fla./Bishop Moore Catholic) tallied a team-high four steals as well as two assists

In goal, Dodgen registered 12 saves and two steals

Junior Daniella Rios (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Sagrados Corazones) had one goal, three field blocks and three steals while Young contributed the final two goals.
