2026 Princeton University Men’s Water Polo Schedule

PRINCETON, N.J. — The five-time consecutive Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Champion Princeton University men’s water polo team announced its 2026 schedule.

The Tigers are coming off a 23-10 mark during the 2025 season for the fifth straight season Princeton reached the 20-win milestone. The Tigers became the most recent East Coast team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to win five straight conference titles before falling to No. 2-ranked the University of California-Los Angeles, 15-11, in the first round of the NCAA Championship tournament.

Princeton commences the 2026 campaign at the Navy Invitational (September 4-5) hosted by United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., before hosting the Princeton Invitational (September 11-13). Head coach Dustin Litvak‘s squad finishes the month of September with the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Invitational at Stanford University (September 18-20).

NWPC action gets started with home contests at DeNunzio Pool against Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (October 3) and Brown University (October 4). The Tigers have a triple-header on the road at Fordham University (10:30 a.m.), Iona University (3:00 p.m.) and Long Island University (7:00 p.m.) on October 10. Fordham won 26 games last year – including a pair of Princeton putdowns – on the way to claiming the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) title and an NCAA Championship berth.

Princeton goes back on the West Coast to take on Pacific University (October 18) and the University of California (October 21) before the Santa Clara Invitational at Santa Clara University (October 23-25).

The Tigers conclude the home portion of their schedule against Fordham (October 30), Iona and Long Island (October 31).

November begins with the end of the regular season on the road for Princeton at Harvard, MIT (November 7) and Brown (November 8)

The NWPC Tournament takes place at Harvard in Cambridge. Mass., from November 20-22 with the victor advancing to the NCAA Championship at the University of California-San Diego on December 4-6.

“The 2026 season will be here before we know it, and we cannot wait to compete once again against the best teams from all over the country,” said Litvak. The Princeton Invitational will provide an early season test for us we take on three strong opponents coming out from California (St. Mary’s College of California, San Jose State University, Pepperdine University) as well as two great teams from the East Coast. Our conference will be as strong as ever and our fall break trip is loaded with challenging opponents in great environments. Our goal is to make it back to the NCAA Tournament and advance further than we have before. We have a very motivated group of guys and they know that each of these games are set up for us to peak at the right time.”
