BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Antonio Knez (Fr., Dubrovnik, Croatia/Gimnazia Dubrovnik) of No. 19-ranked Princeton University made 29 saves to defeat both Brown University and Division III No. 3 the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) at home in DeNunzio Pool to earn recognition as the October 7 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Defensive Player of the Week.

A two-time weekly accolade recipient from the league office following a prior NWPC Defensive Player of the Week nod on September 23, Knez stopped 16 shots – including seven during the four quarter – in a 12-9 victory over Brown on Saturday, October 5.  He wrapped up his weekend by collecting 13 stops in a come-from-behind 9-8 overtime win versus MIT on Sunday, October 6.
