BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — In this episode of Referee Reference, Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Hall of Fame coach/Coordinator of Referee Education Ed Reed welcomes Alex Stankevitch for an in-depth conversation about his journey in water polo, the evolution of his officiating career and what goes into making decisions on the pool deck at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) level.
They break down positioning, advantage, game management and simulation, including real-game examples that show just how difficult some calls can be in the moment — and why reviewing film is such an important part of becoming a better official.
Whether you are a player, coach, official, or fan, Referee Reference helps you better understand the calls that shape the game.
