ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Saint Francis University fell to No. 21-ranked Marist College, 17-11, and Bucknell University, 15-10, during the final day of the Wolverine Invitational hosted by No. 15 the University of Michigan at Canham Natatorium.

Against the Red Foxes, Saint Francis recorded the first goals of the game with Kayla Rhoads and Sam Eschleman getting on the scoresheet early.

Marist held a 12-10 lead going into the fourth quarter.  Marist put up four more goals to open the final frame before Alondra Torres tallied a strike with 1:30 remaining in reglation. Marist tallied another goal at the end of the game to hold off Saint Francis.

In a Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) contest to conclude the weekend, Saint Francis, Aubrey Miller and Sarah Hartwell scored back-to-back goals against Bucknell to end the half at a 7-4 score in favor of the Bison.

The Red Flash outscored Bucknell by a 5-4 count in the fourth quarter but could not gain the lead. Caylah Olay notched the first goal of the quarter, narrowing Bucknell’s lead to 11-7. After a response from the Bison, Rhoads scored back-to-back goals. With just under four minutes left to play, Bucknell tallied another goal with Olay tallying another on the following possession. The Bison scored two more goals to get the win.

Rhoads led offensive efforts with a combined six goals on the day. She was joined by Olay with three goals against Bucknell.

Breeze Ohlson and Sofia Maioriello recorded two assists against Marist. Ohlson earned another two in the second game of the day with Lucia Redaelli joining her.

Isabel Lumley was the goalkeeper in both matches, tallying eight saves against Marist and four versus Bucknell.
