ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The United States Naval Academy is accepting applications for the position of Head Water Polo Coach. This position is responsible for all phases of the program, including organization, direction, and administration of a highly competitive Division I water polo program. This includes recruitment and retention of student-athletes to meet the academic standards and military requirements of the Naval Academy. Other important duties include fiscal management, practice and game coaching, organizing and administering summer camps, and compliance with NCAA and Naval Academy rules and regulations. Navy competes in the Collegiate Water Polo Association, Mid Atlantic Division. In addition the head coach may be assigned supplemental teaching and supervisory responsibilities within the aquatics program of the physical mission. The head coach assists with the administration of pool operations for swimming facilities.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred. Candidates must have an extensive and accomplished Division I head coaching background in water polo, excellent communication skills, strong organizational and leadership skills, and a proven ability to recruit quality student athletes. Salary and benefits are competitive within the Division I level.
