BRIDGEPORT, Pa — Ari Karampetsou (So., Athens, Greece/Costeas Geitonas School) of No. 15-ranked the University of Michigan posted 13 goals and six assists during a 3-1 weekend for the Wolverines as the University of California-San Diego’s Triton Invitational. For her performance, she shares the February 2 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week award with Shanna Davidson (Sr., Huntington Beach, Calif./Los Alamitos) of No. 13 Princeton University.
A four-time Rookie of the Week selection in 2025 (January 20, February 10, March 3, March 24), she opened the weekend on the West Cost by posting five goals, an assist, two drawn exclusions and a steal in a 16-10 loss to No. 6 Arizona State University on Friday, January 30.
Following an 18-8 victory by the Maize & Blue versus California State University-Fullerton on Saturday, January 31, she closed out the day by contributing four goals, four assists, two drawn exclusions and a steal in a 21-8 victory over Concordia University.
In the weekend finale on Sunday, February 1, against No. 16 the University of California-Davis for Ninth Place in the tournament standings, Karampetsou struck for four goals, an assist and a drawn exclusion in an 11-5 win.
