PRINCETON, N.J. — Wagner College exploited a strong second half to reel in a 13-10 victory over Long Island University on the final day of the 2025 Princeton Invitational hosted by Princeton University at DeNunzio Pool.

The Sharks struck first, but Wagner answered quickly with a goal from Laszlo Strasser. Wagner kept pushing throughout the opening eight minutes to trail 3-1 due to a hat-trick by the Sharks’ Francisco de Zengotita Rodriguez.

In the second quarter, Wagner’s offense began to find their way back to action with Landon Castillo connecting twice in the frame. Towards the end, the Green & White pushed ahead 8-5 at halftime as the Seahawks outscored the Sharks 7-2 in the frame.

Wagner extended its lead in the third quarter with balanced scoring from Kelly Murphy, Nadav Carmon, Matan Friedenberg and Strasser. The defense, anchored by goalkeeper Filip Petrovic, held LIU to just two goals in the quarter, giving Wagner a 12-7 edge heading into the final eight minutes.

In the fourth quarter, Wagner wrapped it up with one more goal as Patrick Ray registered his inaugural score.

For the Seahawks, Strasser (three), Casillo (two), Carmon (two) and Murphy (two) combined for nine goals, while Matt Wedlock, Friedenberg, Ray and Johnson notched solo tallies.

de Zengotita Rodriguez finished with four goals to lead the way for Long Island.  Jack French (three), Logan Morgan (two) and Charlie Downey also dented the twine in the effort.
