WASHINGTON, Pa. — Originally from New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central High School, Elizabeth Klock ’17 competed in both water polo and swimming & diving at Washington & Jefferson College. She helped lead the women’s water polo team during a strong final season in 2017. She scored a team-high 44 goals and added five assists as the Presidents compiled a 17-5 overall record and a 16-2 mark in Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) play en route to a runner-up finish at the CWPA Division III Championships. During her three years with the program, the Presidents amassed a 50-20 record and reached the CWPA Division III Championship game three consecutive times (2015, 2016, 2017). Klock earned several accolades from the CWPA throughout her career, which included All-Academic honors each season and All-Conference honors following her senior season.

Brief description of job duties/responsibilities: Professor teaching Organizational Behavior Course to UCONN undergrads, conduct organizational behavioral research and consult with organizations including NASA, The Army, and various healthcare organization. 4th year Doctoral Student.

Career path following W&J: Graduate (PhD) School and Consulting … with the end goal of becoming a research professor & consultant

What went into your decision to attend W&J? The academic rigor of the school, the opportunity to travel through Magellan, playing the sports I loved, and the welcoming and friendly people I met when visiting the school.

What advice would you give current W&J student-athletes? Take advantage of all the incredible opportunities the school gives whether it be athletic, academic, or other. Make friends with your professors and use them as mentors. Enjoy the experiences you have with your team because good or bad they will be some of the most memorable parts of your college experience.
