BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Emmie Ratcliff (So., Friendswood, Texas/Friendswood) of Washington & Jefferson College racked up 18 goals, 15 assists, 14 steals and three field blocks during a Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III-East Region weekend hosted by Grove City College to earn a share of the league’s March 9 Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Player of the Week award.

She shares the weekly recognition with Joslyn DImitri (Jr., Couer D’Alene, Idaho/Couer d’Alene) of Division III No. 7-ranked Austin College who posted 15 goals five assists, seven ejections drawn and seven steals during a 2-1 weekend for the Kangaroos at the Convergence Tournament.

Ratcliff opened the weekend with an offensive show by scoring nine times in a 17-16 loss to Penn Behrend prior to accounting for five markers in a 13-11 management of the host Wolverines on Friday, March 6.

On Saturday, March 7, she scored three times versus Wheaton College (15-8 W) before delivering two strikes in a 15-11 decision against Connecticut College.

Overall, she either assisted or scored 33 of the Presidents’ 59 goals during the weekend to factor in 55.9 percent of W&J’s offense.
