LORETTO, Pa. — The Saint Francis University water polo team announced the signing of two recruits, Abbie Carter and Haiden Lang.
Carter comes to Loretto by way of British Columbia. Carter is a force at the Utility position and she played for the Pacific Storm High Performance Club. She was a 2016 Canadian National Gold Medalist and a 2018 Canadian National Silver Medalist.
Coach Jay O’Neil on Carter: “We are excited to welcome Abbie to the Red Flash family. Abbie’s speed, counter ability and offensive aggressiveness will have an immediate impact on the team.”
Lang hails from California where she played at Esperanza High School as a four year varsity starter. She twice earned Second Team All-League honors. Her team was the 2016 undefeated league champions. Lang was the Junior Olympic Team Captain in 2015 and 2017.
O’Neil on Lang: “We are excited to welcome Haiden to the Red Flash family. Her defensive prowess and great shot will have an immediate impact on what this young program is building toward.”
