BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Due to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) planning to hold a men’s varsity season during January-to-March, 2021, the 2020-21 Men’s Varsity National Top 20 and Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Preseason Polls are tentatively slated to be released on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
The list of polls is a change from the previously announced Top 20, MAWPC, Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) and Division III polls. Due to the NWPC not competing as a league and the exclusively Division III Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) also electing not to compete, neither a NWPC nor Division III Top 10 Poll will be conducted during the men’s water polo season.
Fans should be aware that either a postponement or cancellation of the men’s water polo season will impact the scheduled release date for the preseason polls.
