BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Lizzie Pelzman (Jr., Roseville, Calif./Roseville) of Division III No. 5-ranked Augustana College made 11 saves with three steals and a pair of assists in an 11-8 loss to host McKendree University on Saturday, February 10, to claim status as the February 12 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Defensive Player of the Week.
The award marks the eighth Defensive Player of the Week nod during Pelzman’s intercollegiate tenure as she garnered the February 21 and March 7 honors during the 2022 season prior to collecting nods on February 13, February 20, March 6, April 24 and May 8 in 2023.
