BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Shauna Franke (So., La Jolla, Calif./La Jolla) made 17 saves in a pair of victories at the Santa Clara University Invitational to earn recognition as the February 7 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Rookie of the Week.
A three-time weekly honor recipient from the CWPA as she previously earned the February 7 Rookie and Defensive Player of the Week awards earlier this season, Franke helped the No. 24-ranked Bears dispatch California State University-East Bay (7-6 W) and Santa Clara (10-5 W). Her best game of the week came versus the host Broncos as she turned away 13 shots.
