BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Former University of Utah women’s collegiate club athlete Calianne Timothy will join the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) staff as Director of Membership Services at the conclusion of July 2024.

“I’m very excited to have Calianne join the staff,” noted league Commissioner Dan Sharadin.

The Director of Membership Services position is responsible for membership orientation, development and satisfaction, including the coordination of event management for the league’s close to 300 members at division, regional and national championships around the country.

The primary contact for the league’s men’s Division III Collegiate Club, women’s Division III varsity and men’s/women’s National Collegiate Club, CWPA, Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) and Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Championships, she serves as the league’s primary marketing specialist for ticket and merchandise sales, concessions management and clinic registrations.

A 2023 graduate of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communications, Timothy served as team president of the Utes women’s water polo team from 2021-to-2023.  During her tenure, she increased the club’s revenue by 300%, managed the team’s travel and coordinated all administrative functions.  Prior to Utah, she served as team captain for the Utah State University water polo club during the 2017-18 academic year.

“Her background and experience is a perfect fit,” added Sharadin.

“Having played at the University of Utah and served as their team leader, she understands the challenges of our club sport athletes trying to juggle school while leading their teams.”

The photographer for the 2024 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, she is the owner and operator of Moore Moment Photography.  Further, she served as an intern with the Masters’ Business Creation Agency leading the social media strategy development for multiple clients focusing on Tik Tok and Instagram.

“Her experience in social media is a huge plus as we will be re-engaging several programs that were sidelined during Covid. She will fill a gap that has been missing from our staff, allowing us to support our membership more fully in the years ahead.”
