BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the Week 6/October 27 Men’s Collegiate Club Top 20 and Division III Top 10 Polls for the 2022 season.

Released each week during the season, the Top 20 and Division III Top 10 polls have no bearing on qualifiers for either the National Collegiate Club Championship or the Division III Collegiate Club Championship.

2022 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 (Week 6)

California Polytechnic State University takes over at No. 1 in the Week 6/October 27 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 rankings.

Cal Poly (100 points) – which trailed the University of California 98-to-97 last week for the top spot – drops the Golden Bears (88 points) into a tie with the University of California-San Diego (88 points) at the No. 2 position this week.

The University of Michigan (84 points), the University of Florida (79 points), Washington University in St. Louis (74 points), McKendree University (68 points), Pennsylvania State University (66 points), the United States Military Academy (59 points) and the University of Texas (57 points) complete the Top 10.

Michigan State University (51 points), the University of Washington (45 points), the University of Colorado (41 points), Florida State University (36 points) and Boston College (28 points) rate at No. 11-to-15, while San Diego State University (21 points), Dartmouth College (18 points), the University of Utah (16 points), Cornell University (11 points) and the United States Naval Academy (9 points) complete the Top 20.

2022 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 (Week 6/Final)

Seven-time defending Division III Collegiate Club National Champion Washington University in St. Louis remains No. 1 in the Week 6/October 27 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 Poll.

The 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Division III Collegiate Club Champion, Washington in St. Louis (100 points) is coming off a 2021 season in which the team finished third at the Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship. The Bears did not claim the Division III National Championship last year as the event was canceled due to a lack of pool availability on a Division III campus or in the community surrounding a campus.

Due to the Division III National Collegiate Club Championship being canceled again in 2022, the Week 6 voting marks the final Division III poll for the 2022 season.

Tufts University (88 points) and Middlebury College (88 points) with Amherst College (84 points) and Colby College (83 points) round out the Top Five.

Macalester College (77 points), the United States Coast Guard Academy (73 points), Grinnell College (59 points), Bates College (52 points) and Carnegie Mellon University (48 points) complete the rankings which remain unchanged from the Week 4 and Week 5 voting.
