BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2023 Men’s Collegiate Club Top 20 and Division III Top 10 Week 1/September 21 Polls.
Released each week during the season, the Top 20 and Division III Top 10 polls have no bearing on qualifiers for either the National Collegiate Club Championship or the Division III Collegiate Club Championship.
2023 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 (Week 1)
2022 Men’s National Collegiate Club Champion the University of California-San Diego continues at No. 1 as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the Week 1/September 21 2023 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 Preseason rankings.
The poll follows the final voting of 2022 as the Tritons (97 points), California Polytechnic State University (95 points) and the University of Michigan (94 points) remain at No. 1-to-3, respectively, while the University of California (82 points) surpasses Washington University in St. Louis (75 points) to take over at No. 4.
The University of Colorado (69 points) stays at No. 6 with Dartmouth College (64 points), McKendree University (63 points), Michigan State University (61 points) and the University of California-Los Angeles (57 points) completing the Top 10.
The University of Florida (46 points), San Diego State University (43 points) and the University of Texas (41 points) stand at No. 11-to-13 with the United States Military Academy (26 points) and the University of Washington (26 points) tied at No. 14.
Pennsylvania State University (21 points), Boston College (17 points), Fresno State University (16 points), the University of Virginia (14 points) and the University of Oregon (11 points) rounds out the Top 20.
The 2023 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship will be decided at the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center on Friday-Sunday, November 10-12.

2023 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 (Week 1)
Seven-time defending Division III Collegiate Club National Champion Washington University in St. Louis continue at No. 1 in the 2023 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 Week 1/September 21 Poll.
The rankings remain unchanged from the preseason balloting as Washington possesses a 12-point lead over both Tufts University (88 points) and Middlebury College (88 points) as the duo are tied at No. 2.
Amherst College (84 points), Colby College (83 points), Macalester College (77 points), the United States Coast Guard Academy (73 points), Grinnell College (73 points), Carnegie Mellon University (52 points) and Wesleyan University (48 points) complete the Division III Top 10.
