2023 Women’s Collegiate Club Sierra Pacific “A” Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2023 Women’s Collegiate Club Sierra Pacific “A” Division schedule.

Comprised of California State University-Chico, California State University-Fresno, Stanford University, the University of California “A”, the University of California “B”, the University of California-Davis “A” and the University of California-Santa Cruz “A”, the division is smaller compared to previous years as five programs will compete in a Sierra Pacific “B” format.

Fresno State (2007), UC-Davis (2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019), UC-Santa Cruz (2010, 2012) and California (2015, 2022) have combined for all 14 prior Sierra Pacific Division crowns.  A Sierra Pacific Division champion was not crowned during either the 2020 or 2021 seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic terminating the completion and start of the campaigns, respectively.

Competition begins on Saturday-Sunday, February 18-19, at UC-Davis in Davis, Calif., with 14 games.  The regular season concludes on Saturday-Sunday, March 4-5, as UC-Santa Cruz in Santa Cruz, Calif., hosts another 14-game slate to establish the final seeding for the 11-game Sierra Pacific “A” Championship on Saturday-Sunday, April 22-23, at Fresno State in Fresno, Calif.

The victor of the Sierra Pacific “A” Division Championship earns the group’s automatic berth to the 2023 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship on Friday-Sunday, May 5-7, at a site to be determined.
