BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2024 Week 15/May 2 Women’s Collegiate Club Top 20 and Division III Top 10 Polls.

2024 Women’s Collegiate Club Top 20 (Week 15/May 2)

Southwest Division Champion the University of California-San Diego, Big Ten Division Champion the University of Michigan and Sierra Pacific Division Champion the University of California-Davis will enter this weekend’s 2024 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship at Texas A&M University in a unique position – all No. 1 in the latest poll – as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the Week 15/May 2 Women’s Collegiate Club Top 20 Poll.

UC-Davis (91 points), which gained sole custody of the top spot three weeks after being tied with the Pacific Cost Division Champion the University of California-Los Angeles, UC-San Diego (91 points) and Midwest Division Champion the University of Notre Dame the prior two weeks, were tied with Michigan (91 points) at No. 1 last week. 

The three-way tie is a first in the history of collegiate club play as a trio of teams have never competed at the National Collegiate Club Championship in either gender (male/female) since the league’s founding nearly 35 years ago.

UCLA (88 points) and Notre Dame (86 points) fall just off the pace of the Tritons, Wolverines and Aggies to rate at No. 3 and 4.

San Diego State University (76 points), California Polytechnic State University (70 points), Michigan State University (67 points), the University of Southern California (59 points) and the University of California-Santa Barbara (51 points) complete the Top 10.

Arizona State University (43 points) and Texas Division Champion Texas A&M (43 points) are tied at No. 11, while the University of California-Irvine (42 points), Rocky Mountain Division Champion the University of Colorado (36 points), Northwest Division Champion the University of Washington (33 points), Southeast Division Champion Florida State University (23 points) and Atlantic Division Champion Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (16 points)rate at No. 13-to-17, respectively.

The University of California-Santa Cruz (13 points) and North Atlantic Division Champion Yale University (13 points) are tied at No. 18 with New York Division Champion Cornell University (12 points) and New England Division Champion Northeastern University (12 points) completing the Top 20 in a tie for the final position.

2024 Women’s Collegiate Club Division III Top 10 (Week 15/May 2)

Sierra Pacific Division Championship runner-up the University of California-Santa Cruz remains at No. 1 in the Week 15/May 2 Women’s Collegiate Club Division III Top 10 Poll.

Due to a lack of competition, the Division III Top 10 remains unchanged with UC-Santa Cruz (96 points), North Atlantic Division Championship runner-up the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (95 points), Washington University in St. Louis (92 points), the United States Coast Guard Academy (85 points), New York University (81 points), Carnegie Mellon University (73 points), Middlebury College (70 points), Grinnell College (64 points), Colby College (35 points) and Wesleyan University (34 points) retaining the No. 1-to-10 positions.
