BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2025 Men’s Collegiate Club Top 20 and Division III Top 10 Week 8/November 6 Polls.

Released each week during the season, the Top 20 and Division III Top 10 polls have no bearing on qualifiers for the National Collegiate Club Championship.

2025 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 (Week 8/November 6)

Defending National Champion the University of California-San DiegoCalifornia Polytechnic State University and California State University-Chico. – which remain tied at No. 1 in the 2025 Men’s Collegiate Club National Top 20 Week 8/November 6 Poll – will seek to determine if one of them is the best of the best this weekend at the Carlisle Family YMCA in Carlisle, Pa., during the 2025 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship.

Southwest Division Champion UC-San Diego (95 points), Pacific Coast Division Champion Cal Poly (95 points) and Sierra Pacific Division Champion Chico State (95 points) remain deadlocked at No. 1 as this weekend’s championship marks the first time in men’s collegiate club action that three teams will compete for the National Championship with No. 1 national rankings.

Sierra Pacific Division Championship runner-up the University of California (82 points) remains at No. 4, while Pacific Coast Division Championship runner-up the University of Southern California (81 points) comes in at No. 5.

Pacific Coast Division Championship third place finisher the University of California-Santa Barbara (74 points) slips to No. 6 with Southwest Division Championship runner-up the University of California-Irvine (65 points) rising to No. 7. 

Big Ten Division Champion the University of Michigan (64 points) falls one place to No. 8, while the duo of Southwest Division Championship third place finisher San Diego State University (54 points) and Sierra Pacific Division Championship third place finisher the University of California-Davis (49 points) complete the Top 10.

Florida Division Champion the University of Florida (48 points) and Texas Division Champion Texas A&M University (42 points) retreat to No. 11 and12, respectively, with Big Ten Championship runner-up Michigan State University (40 points) assuming the No. 13 spot.

Sierra Pacific Division Championship fourth place finisher California Maritime Academy (31 points), Mid-Atlantic Division Champion Pennsylvania State University (28 points), Pacific Coast Division Championship fifth place finisher the University of California-Los Angeles (23 points), New England Division Champion Dartmouth College (21 points) and Atlantic Division Champion the University of Virginia (19 points) assume the No. 14-to-18 berths.

Rocky Mountain Division Champion the University of Colorado (12 points) and Great Lakes Division Champion the University of Notre Dame (12 points) conclude the final Top 20 prior to the National Collegiate Club Championship with the Buffaloes and Irish tying at No. 19.

2025 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 (Week 8/November 6)

The University of California-Santa Cruz and New York University remain tied at No. 1 in the Men’s Division III Collegiate Club National Top 10 Week 8/November 6 Poll.

UC-Santa Cruz (95 points) and NYU (95 points) lead a Top 10 which experiences no changes from the Week 7/October 30 voting.

Middlebury College (98 points) and Augustana College (88 points) stay tied at No. 3, while the United States Coast Guard Academy (82 points) remains anchored at No. 5.

Bowdoin College (73 points), Carleton College (71 points), Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (61 points), Grinnell College (46 points) and Washington University in St. Louis (36 points) complete the Top 10.

Collegiate Water Polo Association
