2019 Men’s Collegiate Club Rocky Mountain Division Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases changes to the 2019 Men’s Collegiate Club Rocky Mountain Division schedule.
Due to the discovery that Northern Arizona University being ineligible to compete during the 2019 season, the division is now comprised of the Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University, the University of Colorado “A”, the University of Colorado “B”, the University of Denver, the University of New Mexico, the University of Utah “A”, the University of Utah “B”, the University of Wyoming, Utah State University and Colorado Mesa University.
Due to the loss of NAU, the division schedule changes.
Competition begins on Saturday-Sunday, September 28-29, at Wyoming’s Corbett Pool as Colorado “A”, Colorado “B”, Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State, Denver and the host Cowboys contest a 12-game weekend. During the same weekend, Colorado Mesa, New Mexico, Utah “A” and Utah “B” square-off in a revised 10-game event at Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The regular season comes to a close at Colorado Mesa’s El Pomar Aquatic Center in Grand Junction, Colo., on Friday-Sunday, October 11-13, as all 11 teams converge for a revised weekend slate to establish the final seeds for the division championship tournament.
The Rocky Mountain Division Championship will be decided with 17 games hosted by Colorado at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center in Thornton, Colo., on Saturday-Sunday, October 26-27.
The victor of the division championship earns an automatic berth to the 2019 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship slated to be hosted by the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Friday-Sunday, November 15-17.
